Quote reblogged from SURRENDER TO RATIONAL ADDICTION with 34 notes

Do you know what it’s like to be cusping on adulthood and not know who you are, what you want to be, or even if you want to be? It’s ten shades of suck is what it is.

A tribute to my 4 most inspirational pole dancing girls.

In order, Jess Leanne Norris, who mind you, is ONLY 17! And she has her own studio and is seriously, one of the most insane pole dancers I know. Damn.

Jennyne Butterfly. I LOVE YOU.

Felix Cane, Fellow Bobbi’s Pole Studio girl. HOLLA.

And ofcourse DirdyBirdy. You.Are.Amazing. (Why don’t they sell your clothes HERE :( )

You keep me inspired ladies.

x

These are all my favourites too!

Dirdy birdy is my #1, but I totally agree with these!

Question

cravingtobecraved asked: Hey where did you find a place that teaches pole dancing classes? I have looked everywhere in my city

The pole place near me actually spammed my school email system, which is how I found out about it. :)

Barrels!

We received our barrels last night around 6:30pm and are so delighted! We have so much stuff and food, we couldn’t be happier.  We spent the night unpacking (minus the

We woke up at 7:30am, despite the alarm not going off and headed off to the Scotia Bank to set up a bank account.  We were told they open at 8am by a student, but apparently they open at 10am, so we wandered off. We wanted to check by Alexis Taxi for our barrels but they didn’t seem open. Then we wandered over to Jenner Hall at Ross to fill our water bottles with filtered water, since our Brita pitcher isn’t here yet.

After a bit more wandering, that included a trip to James Store to buy a stand fan (85 ECs), we took another trip home to drop it off, then returned to the bank where they took forever to get the stuff done.

After that, Dean dropped me off at my IT orientation.  There, they took my laptop and configured it to work with the school system, so I can use the internet on campus and access the school’s drives at home.  We also learned how to click a bunch of buttons on the computer to access our files or print something….in case we were idiots.  Dean and I agreed to meet at 12:30 in front of the library, but I got done at noon. I wasn’t feeling well, and was getting a migraine; I knew I needed to get food, caffeine and medicine in me.  But Dean wouldn’t be there until at least 12:30, and he had the only cell phone.  Not only did I not have a cell phone, but I didn’t remember his phone number. Feeling miserably sick and needing of a bed, I found a pay phone on campus that placed international calls, so I attempted to call my mother to get the cell phone number from her.  I picked up the receiver and swiped my card; it authorized the card….then wouldn’t let me dial a number! After 3 attempts I gave up and decided to start heading towards our road, hoping to meet up with Dean, and then possibly head to KFC. I made it down the main road, and waiting at Moo Cow Trail, but never saw him coming and decided the best thing to do was to go back to our meeting place because Dean possibly was at James Store picking up water, and if he went to the meeting place and I wasn’t there, we would have no way of contacting each other.

So basically I sat around waiting, feeling really sick.  Then we walked home, and Dean went back to KFC to get lunch.  He was pleasantly surprised they had his Famous Bowl there. The price wasn’t too bad, we paid like 34EC for 3 pieces of chicken, a famous bowl and a soda (Pepsi; yes I have resorted to drinking anything caffeinated).  This makes it around $12/13 US dollars; not bad.  After healing up a bit, we went on more errands.  We purchased another Lime cell phone so Dean and I both have phones and can contact each other.

A word about Lime.  These cell phones are the CHEAPEST pieces of crap anywhere. I have never see a cheaper/more useless phone in the US EVER! My phone when I was 13 was more advanced than this.  But it dials, and sometimes you may be able to change the settings, with advanced IT work. So, from my understanding, all incoming calls/texts are free. Now, if you ‘top up’ your phone and put 46EC/$18USD on the phone you receive unlimited calls and texts in the area for free and $0.19 calls to the US.  Apparently if you have a droid or an iphone you can get free data with this plan too.

But while your money rolls over to the next month the deal does not, so the 1st of every month you need to put another $18 USD onto the phone to get the free call/texts.

We also made another trip to James store to buy a bar of the cheapest soap they had, 4 rolls of the cheapest toilet paper they had, 10 bags of the cheapest toilet paper they had (see a theme here?!?), a jug of water, and some caffeine.

There were also like 4 attempts at getting our barrels today. They kept telling us to come back at x time, but apparently we will get them tomorrow now. :/

Then we went to the local bar/Ross hang out De Champs, which is on this HUGE hill.  I met a lot of people and had a bit of fun.  And super awesome Katie bought me a drink.

OK, seriously, WTF are these parents thinking?

Children pole dancing is nothing like stripping.  It is like chinese acrobatics….like what PARENTS being their CHILDREN to see in the circus.
I wish people could understand that pole dancing is NOT always stripping, it is not always sexy.  It is an form of dance and sport that takes talent and skill.  Google Natasha Wang, she performs like a contemporary artist, who happens to use a pole.
Pole dancing can be done with out sex appeal.  It doesn’t have to involve grinding.
